We were blown away by amazing nominations put forward for our very first Social Purpose Teaching Awards, and the number of votes that came in. (You can still read the fantastic stories here).
The awards were presented at the close of our Teach Different Conference, and were a fitting end to a fantastic day. Presented by the college’s principal, Jill Westerman and local MP Angela Smith, we were proud to recognise the work that people do in difficult teaching circumstances and settings.
Here are the results:
Teaching to your Values – Sheila Robinson
Reflexive Practice – Rachel Allwood
Embedding Diversity – Angela Wright
Win/Win/Win – Everybody!
Win/Win/Win (Group Award) – RMT tutors
